How to Join DIAZ

DIAZ membership is open to anyone who loves the outdoors. There is one way in: DIKLATSAR, our basic training in mountaineering and nature conservation.

The path to membership

Four steps from prospective member to Digital Membership Card

  1. Step 1: Take DIKLATSAR

    Basic training for prospective members. It is where every member gets the same foundation, including the mountain-and-forest knowledge each member is expected to have.

  2. Step 2: Become a member

    After completing DIKLATSAR you are recorded as a member with a member number. Until you receive an eagle name your status is Junior Member; with an eagle name you become a Full Member.

  3. Step 3: Choose a specialization

    Every member is free to choose specializations — more than one is fine, with no limit.

  4. Step 4: Complete your details on the site

    Sign in with your Google account, send your membership details for the board to verify, then get your Digital Membership Card.

Who can join?

DIAZ membership is open to anyone interested in nature who is willing to take DIKLATSAR.

What is DIKLATSAR?

Basic training in mountaineering and nature conservation for prospective members, as set out in the Articles of Association. So far 34 batches have taken place.

What does it cost and what are the requirements?

Requirements, fees, and the schedule are not listed on this site yet. Ask the board directly on WhatsApp, or follow the official channels for the latest information.

Are there membership levels?

Yes: Prospective Member, Junior Member (no eagle name yet), Full Member (has an eagle name), and Honorary Member.

I am already a member. What should I do on this site?

Sign in with your Google account, then complete your membership details for the board to verify. Once approved you get your Digital Membership Card. Forgot your member number? Search for it by name right in the verification form.
